As a Mom I have a lot for which to be grateful. Right now, I’m most conscious of the texture and color my children bring to my life. I get to think about why the world is organized the way that it is organized in order to answer all the “Why?” and “What’s happening?” and “What did he do?” questions. (These can drive me nuts, most certainly. Yet, mostly I like the challenge of explaining circumstances in a way that continue to intrigue.) Thank You!
This message is going out to those of you who have been interviewed for the book graciously sharing your story.
I had an interview myself with the Editor of My Healthy Beginning magazine earlier this week and as I chatted with her about the purpose of Expect the Best while You’re Expecting and shared about how women find such different and unique ways to enjoy their pregnancies and deal with challenges, I had the experiences and knowledge of all of you in my words.
As a result of your vulnerable and “real” sharing, women will be able to be a fly on the wall of so many women’s pregnancies. What a gift! You have put your story out there in effect saying to women, “Here. Here’s my experience. Take from it what you will.”

Being with It All
One thing that I want for expectant mothers is for it to be Okay for us to talk about our full range of emotions around pregnancy – the good, the bad, and the everything in between. I want it to be okay for a woman to say that she’s not excited about the baby growing in her tummy right now, even if she’s married, has a big house, and has all circumstances that “seem” ideal for a baby to come into the picture.
